Music for All, the small grants program run by the Soundhouse Music Alliance, has over the past 3 years, made grants of over $60,000, to individuals, schools and community groups, that have demonstrated challenging circumstances affecting their ability to make music. We give so others can experience the proven benefits of music making. Whether this be from individuals from low socio economic backgrounds seeking to continue their studies or purchase an instrument, to non-profit community groups seeking to provide music making opportunities in their communities, to schools struggling to raise a music program budget, Music for All has been a support with small grants that have made a difference.
Most of these grants have been made due to the generosity of the Phil Taylor Foundation, with the balance coming from donations to our charity. During May Music for All is calling for donations to its grant giving program. Interested people and organisations can donate using the following link www.musicforall.org.au/donate
We encourage those with an interest in music making to support Music for All with a donation however small.
Music for All is a program of the Soundhouse Music Alliance, a fully tax deductible charity that is registered with the ACNC in Australia.
The following are just some of the feedback we have had from grant recipients regarding the impact of their Grant.
“I was so excited to hear that I had received Music For All Grant funding. I have been able to continue in lessons for Term 1 2025. Financial barriers mean this would not have been achieved”. Music is my favourite thing in the world, and with Music For All’s support, I have been able to commit to this on a higher level as I move into high school”.

“Profoundly autistic individuals have complex learning needs, and require specialised, multisensory approaches to support their development. Music is a powerful tool that can aid in communication, emotional expression, and social interaction. The instruments will support our students’ cognitive, emotional, and social growth, in an supportive learning environment tailored to their needs”.
Jordan Gower, Giant Steps, Community Grant Recipient
“(Our Music for all grant) helps support for continued social engagement of the local community, targeting seniors in both aged care facilities and the wider community, through the provision of music performances for all”.
