Even before he left school Tony has been part of the music industry, working in both retail and wholesale in his native England. Eventually he was selected to run a digital piano department for the Roland Corporation at Harrods of Knightsbridge before going on to represent sales for Roland for the south of England and Wales. In 1996 he moved to Melbourne and his first job was to run the musical instrument department at Brashs Melbourne. After various other roles in retail he moved to wholesale and now he is National Sales Manager at the Resource Corporation, a company which imports and distributes products for the Music, Audio and AV industries.
In addition to the ‘day job’ he has works as a freelance musician, keyboard demonstrator and serves on the Australian Music Association board.
The SoundHouse Music Alliance has been a topic of interest and when the opportunity came to be part of it Tony leapt at the chance. Having previously worked for Brashs and the Roland Corporation who were both sponsors of the SMA, it seems only natural that he should be on board.
